Lupe Montes is a Small Business Specialist at U.S Bank. Lupe has worked in the banking industry for over 15 years, most notably in the Latino Community. She is a resource to small business owners. As a trusted advisor, Lupe helps to make the right choices when seeking capital for their business needs and their day to day banking needs.
Lupe is a dedicated professional with passion for helping the community. She believes in helping others reach their goals. One way to achieve that self-sufficiency is through the process of home ownership and entrepreneurship– a core part of living and achieving the American Dream. Lupe believes in educating and arming the community with financial knowledge. She assists the chamber with bilingual outreach and educational workshops to advance the entrepreneurial process. She is currently working towards becoming certified in the Association of Accredited Small Business Consultants (AASBC), and is a volunteer for SCORE – Madison Chapter 145.
Born and raised on the West side of Chicago in the Humboldt Park neighborhood. Her family is originally from Coahuila, Mexico. She graduated from U.W. Madison, earning a B.A., in Political Science. Lupe was appointed by the mayor to sit on the Housing Strategy committee, has served as a poll worker in past elections, and is active in her community.
