Tanay Rivera was born in Chicago but currently resides in Wisconsin. She majored in Graphic Design, having studied at CCC as well as HWC & MATC. Her works include commercial art, jewelry, ceramics, plaster, resin, and mixed media. Tanay cites the singer Bjork as a main source of inspiration. Her goal as an artist is to express lives’ opposite energies- beauty/ugliness, happiness/sadness, and intelligence/ignorance. She enjoys creating a reflection of these sometimes painful dichotomies.
